A brief history
Jac Charlton has been in the forefront of the film and dental industry for over three decades
JAC FX STUDIO, was formed in late 1994, to service the local film industry needs for creature and character teeth, that were not being met by the local prosthetic make up artists.

In the last 30+ years, we have collaborated with some the biggest films, special effects studios and artists in the business
​
We operate under strict codes of safety and sterilisation. All dental prosthetics and appliances are manufactured by Queensland Trained Dental technicians, using only the finest of Bio-compatible dental materials and products.

Exclusive dental procedures are of prime importance, ensuring no damage to teeth or tissue.
Each creation is custom built with imaginative design and skill and the upmost care is taken to provide maximum functionality, safety and aesthetics.

We can assist with all creature effects, life casts, prop making, sculpting, creative metal castings and problem solving.

Master dental technician with 40 years of experience covering all aspects of the dental industry, including general acrylic work, chrome, gold, silver, and metal castings, dental implants, and crown and bridge.
Additionally, Jac is an Emmy award winning special effects makeup artist and technician with exceptional skills in sculpting, mould making, and prosthetic makeup production and application.
Jac's creativity and versatility have made him a sought-after professional in art departments, art directing, props master, standby props, set dressing, buying, and prop making.
He is committed to excellence and fosters positive relationships between clients, artists, and technicians, facilitating communication from concept to finished product, including aftercare and beyond.
